General Information

1.- We have the ability to ship and/or pick up horses in various locations around California and parts of both Nevada and Washington. Your donations in the travel/shipping area help to transport horses to the rescue.

2.- Over the years I have seen many beloved horses and equine friends who's owners simply cannot afford the veterinary care required to euthanize their animal when their time comes or provide basic treatment (such a tubing for colic/purchase a hernia belt etc) due to lack of funds. These animals end up suffering and it's not due to lack of compassion or care on the owners part but just a finanical issue. I am hoping to start this program to provide basic medical care and euthanzia to local horses. Your funds help provide the owners/veterinarians the money to take care of these cases.

3- Occasionally we run into a horse for sale where owners are asking $200 or $500 etc. by a certain date or they will be sent to slaughter, killed, or sold at auction. This is a truly disgusting sight to see in an ad. With your donations we are able to purchase these horses and send them to the rescue for rehoming.

4- We send our rescued horses straight to Oroville Equine Rescue in Northern California for evaluation, medical care, training, and adoption. They charge a $275 fee to accept a horse into their rescue. Your donations go towards these acceptance fees and are crucial to our program.
