More Information

.- If you'd like to be on the notification list to adopt a horse that we rescue prior to sending it to the Oroville Equine Rescue, please fill out this application and send it in to be approved and get on the notification list.

.-If you can no longer afford, care for, house, or want your horse please do not hesitate to fill out an application to surrender them to us to be rehomed. You can do this anonymously without risk and will no longer need to provide for your animal.

.- If you are in a situation where you cannot afford medical care or euthanazia please fill out an application along with refrences to see if you qualify for our program.

.- If you have seen an AD for an at risk horse heading to auction, slaughter, or death please submit a notification or contact us directly.

.- If you have seen a slaughter truck carrying horses please report this to us to be forwarded to the FDA. Transportation of horses for slaughter is illegal in the state of California. Slaughter trucks look like catte trucks with a "double deck" meaning two levels on top of each other. They have large holes in the side and are heavy duty livestock vehicles. Please note these can legally transport cattle but NOT horses. If you see horses in a trailer like this contact us ASAP. If you can please take license plate number, road information, and driver description.
